Practice Management

• Mrs Alison Shelton – Managing Partner
  Alison joined Friary House Surgery in May 2015 as Practice Manager with over 35 years of experience in pharmacy, teaching and management in healthcare. In 2017 Alison became a partner. Alison is responsible for the running of the practice, supported by her deputy and is heavily involved in the strategic and business planning for the practice, taking it forward in a challenging environment.
• Elaine Lewis – Assistant Practice Manager
  Elaine is our assistant Practice Manager with a special role in IT and audits.
• Steve Shelton – Data Protection Officer
  Steve Shelton is a retired Police Officer having served 36 years in the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary. He has a degree in IT and Computing and has qualified in adult education and NVQ assessment and verification. His interests are many and include music, both playing the bass guitar and production, (having spent 10 yrs. in a gigging band), motorcycling  and wine(not at the same time obviously).

Administration

The practice would not work as effectively without the help and support of our administration department.

Health Coordinators

The Health Co-ordinators are here to help you, but they have a difficult job dealing with constant telephone calls and enquiries. They will need to ask you medical details in order to work effectively and as such, are bound by the same code of confidentiality as the Doctors and clinical team.
